Eileen is a licensed clinical social worker in Massachusetts, and a graduate of Boston College School of Social Work. Eileen has over a decade experience in the field. For the past two years, she has been providing individual therapy to adults and adolescents in the private practice setting. Prior to that, she worked for 10 years in an outpatient setting at Massachusetts General Hospital as an oncology social worker. Eileen has helped many people and families cope with the uncertainty of medical diagnoses, end of life issues, grief and bereavement.
Eileen’s specialties include anxiety management, depression, loss and bereavement, prenatal and postpartum support, and parenting support. Eileen incorporates a variety of therapeutic styles including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), a practice that uses acceptance and mindfullness strategies combined with commitment and behavior change strategies to increase psychological flexibility. She also utilizes narrative therapy as a way to help patients identify their values and skills as a way to gain insight and make change. Eileen tailors each session to an individual’s needs and works with clients to achieve their individual goals with therapy.
